Oxfordshire Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS)

This free NHS service in Oxfordshire is for those over six years old and registered with a local GP. It treats issues like dry or uncomfortable eyes, foreign bodies in the eye, red eyes, ingrowing eyelashes, watery discharge, and sudden vision changes. Contact a MECS registered optician to determine the urgency of your situation.

This service does not cover major eye conditions like cataracts or glaucoma but can refer patients if needed.
